Introduction
The following statement describes the privacy practices for GovQA. GovQA, LLC (“GovQA”) respects the privacy of our clients, employees, website visitors, and job applicants. We believe it is important for our clients, affiliates, and employees to understand the type of information we collect about our clients and how that information is used. We recognize the need for appropriate safeguards and management of Personal information you provide to us. This Privacy Policy sets forth the privacy principles GovQA follows concerning your Personal Information.
This Privacy Policy applies to all Personal Information received by GovQA (including its Subsidiaries) in any format including electronic, paper, or verbal. For purposes of this Policy, “Personal Information” means any information collected by GovQA that identifies or could be used by GovQA to identify an individual.
Corporate Governance
Corporate Governance from GovQA’s executive leadership is the data obtained, processed, and stored in the GovQA Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform is solely owned by the customer.
GovQA does not and will not share or sell client/agency data with any other parties or make client/agency data publicly available unless authorized by the customer or required under a legal subpoena. GovQA serves only as a custodian for client-/agency-owned data.
Shared Responsibility
GovQA requires that each party agrees to maintain the confidentiality of the other party’s confidential and proprietary materials and information, including but not limited to, all information, knowledge, or data not generally available to the public which is acquired in connection with this Agreement, unless disclosure is required by law. GovQA requires each party not to copy, duplicate, or transcribe any confidential documents of the other party except as required in connection with their performance under specific contracts or agreements between GovQA and the customer. GovQA requires the Customer to acknowledge that the Service(s) contain valuable trade secrets, which are the sole property of GovQA, and further asks the Customer to use reasonable care to prevent other parties from learning of these trade secrets or have unauthorized access to the Service(s). GovQA will use reasonable efforts to ensure that any GovQA contractors maintain the confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
GovQA collects Personal Information about a visitor to our website only when the visitor chooses to provide such information. On certain pages, for example, a visitor has the opportunity to provide his/her personal information such as his/her name, company, address, phone number, and email address. We may use this information for three general purposes: to customize the content you see, to fulfill your requests for certain services and information, and to contact you.
To improve the content and format of our site, GovQA may, at times, use website tracking software to automatically capture technical information that is then stored in our server’s log files. This information may include, but is not limited to, user domain, the type of Internet browser being used, which of our web pages is visited, and the amount of time spent on our site. GovQA’s web server log files and click path tracking do not contain any personally identifiable information.
GovQA may collect certain Personal Information from our customers who use our solution. The information may be collected through our SaaS solution, or by members of our support team who provide support to customers. The type of Personal Information collected varies based on the type of interactions the customer is having with the website or SaaS solution but is typically limited to email address and name.
GovQA is committed to securing all data entered into the GovQA Platform, especially Personal Identifiable Information (PII). Further, we understand the desire for citizens, public requesters and other individuals to have their data verified or removed from various websites, such as GovQA’s Platform.
The products and services offered by GovQA are designed to collect and store data provided by our clients and our client’s customers and as such, GovQA serves only as custodian for the data. GovQA does not own the data within the platform, the government agency who leases the GovQA Platform owns the data. The agency is the sole owner of all data and only the agency may release, transfer, extract and delete the data.
In order to have your data removed from the GovQA Platform, you are required to submit an official request with the government agency to which you supplied your personal information.
We use your Personal Information to provide you with the services which GovQA is contractually obligated to provide to you, to assist you in completing a transaction, or to communicate with you about our products or services. We use Personal Information from website visitors to respond to any inquiries visitors make to our website and to provide you with related information of interest to you. We do not sell or rent your Personal Information to third parties.
GovQA neither grants access to nor permits access by third-parties to client/agency data.
GovQA’s websites may contain links to third-party sites for your convenience and/or information. If you access those links, you will leave GovQA’s website and be re-directed to a third-party site. GovQA does not control those sites or the privacy practices of those third-party sites, which may differ from GovQA’s privacy practices. We do not endorse or make any representations about third-party websites, and the personal data you choose to provide to third-party websites are not covered by this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website or company before submitting your Personal Information to them.
GovQA will take reasonable steps to ensure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete, and current, to its intended use. We provide individuals with reasonable access to the Personal Information that they provide to us, as well as the ability to review and correct such information.
To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, to maintain data accuracy, and to allow only the appropriate use of your Personal Information, we utilize physical, technical, and administrative controls and procedures to safeguard the information we collect.
We limit access to your Personal Information and data to those persons who have a specific business purpose for maintaining and processing such information. GovQA’s employees who have been granted physical access to your Personal Information will be made aware of their responsibilities to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of that information and have been provided training and instruction on how to do so.
GovQA will take reasonable steps to ensure that Personal Information is accurate, complete, and current, to its intended use. GovQA will only use Personal Information in ways that are compatible with the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently authorized by the individual.

GovQA will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding the use and disclosure of Personal Information in accordance with the principles contained in this Policy. For complaints that cannot be resolved between GovQA and the complainant, GovQA has agreed to participate in the dispute resolution procedures of the panel established by the EU Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) to resolve disputes pursuant to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles, as well as to cooperate and comply with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner of Switzerland.
The practices described in this Policy are GovQA’s current Personal Information protection policies. GovQA performs a yearly review of all policy documentation and reserves the right to update the policy information protection policy if required. Updates will be posted to this site.
